Exoplaneten lerarenvorming
Exoplanets clouds is an exciting current research field in astrophysics. There are clouds on the majority of planets in our solar system, and scientists are currently making computational models and observations to look for clouds on exoplanets (planets outside of our solar system). This two-hour lesson for 15 – 18 year-olds will introduce this topic to students, and then provide the opportunity to use hands-on learning and experiments to create their own clouds in the classroom. During this lesson, students will learn about exoplanets and cloud formations as well as getting the opportunity to develop their scientific method skills.
This lesson was developed as part of a PhD research project investigating the translation of scientific concepts into teaching materials as part of the CHAMELEON Marie Curie Innovative Training Network for European Joint Doctorate. This project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant No 860470.
