Describe a typical day at your job.
When I arrive at work, I discover my e-mails that my American colleagues sent during the night because of jet lag. I answer the urgent requests and put aside the questions that take me more time. I then interact with the technicians and researchers working in the laboratory to check that everything is running smoothly. I often have several meetings about the department or teaching. I give lectures several times a week, so I need time to prepare and read through my lectures before giving them. I have scientific meetings with the researchers in my team and with the students working with me. Finally, I can work on the data I have collected for my samples, reflect on them and write scientific papers on my findings.
